About

A musical path between composition and production

Federico Vergagni

I am a composer, arranger, and music producer. I have always been fascinated by the spaces between different musical worlds, finding ways to blend contemporary, orchestral, ambient, and atonal sounds. Whatever the genre, my focus is always on creating music that combines structural clarity with genuine emotional depth.

My foundation was built at the Conservatory “Guido Cantelli” in Novara, where I studied composition. Alongside my musical education, I also trained as a sound technician. This technical study naturally evolved into years of hands-on work across various environments—from formal acoustic institutions to independent studios and the indie live scene. Combining the art of writing with the technical science of audio allows me to approach music not just conceptually, but as a tangible, acoustic reality.

Musically, I draw inspiration from a broad palette. In my work, you will often hear traces of classical and early music coexisting naturally with experimental electronics and non-Western traditions. Today, I split my time between writing original pieces—both for studio albums and live concerts—and collaborating with other artists. I deeply value the energy of shared projects, drawing on a rich history of collaborative experiences, which includes my past production work with composer Carter Larsen.
